Good evening I'm @stephenflorentz and we have the puck drop for the New York Islanders hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning in just a few minutes.

Tampa Bay has had an up-and down season and find themselves 8th in the East. Islanders have had more downs than ups and sit in 15th in the East, one spot from the bottom.

Islanders could be just the medicine the doctor ordered for Tampa Bay. Tampa beat New York 6-1 on November 1, and 4-1 on November 10, and will be going for the season sweep tonight.

Lines for Tampa Bay: 90 – Namestnikov 91 – Stamkos 86 – Kucherov 18 – Palat 9 – Johnson 17 – Killorn 24 – Callahan 51 – Filppula 21 – Point 11 – Boyle 13 – Paquette 23 – Brown 77 – Hedman 89 – Nesterov 5 – Garrison 62 - Sustr 29 – Koekkoek 55 – Coburn 88 – Vasilevskiy 30 - Bishop

Lines for the NY Islanders: 12 – Bailey 91 – Tavares 15 – Clutterbuck 27 – Lee 29 – Nelson 25 – Chimera 16 – Ladd 18 – Strome 72 – Beauvillier 42 - Mayfield 53 – Cizikas 86 – Kulemin 2 – Leddy 3 – Hamonic 14 – Hickey 55 – Boychuk 44 – de Haan 50 –Pelech 41 – Halak 1 - Greiss

And we are underway in New York

Hickey gets a nice hit on Point in the first couple of minutes.

Tavares fires a loose puck that is saved without a rebound by Vasilevskiy

Now Lee shoots a blind back-hand as he's falling but it slides just wide.

A couple more chances for the Islanders saved. Nice first 6 minutes for New York but still 0-0.
