Olympics

ByTheMinRio2016

Hello there, and welcome to the 2012 Olympics 200m Mens Butterfly final, London. Im Nathan Waywell and I cannot wait for it to start!

And here is the start list! Today Phelps is not the clear favourite, unlike 4 years ago. Can he be beaten in one of his strongest events?

Some of the swimmers to watch out for include South African Chad Le Clos and Takeshi Matsuda from Japan.

The swimmers are out and here we go! The worlds tightest caps are tightened, the speedos are pulled up and the goggles are down...

AND WE ARE OFF! A good start from Le Clos and Phelps as they are 1 and 2 as we go past the 50!

At the 50 it is Phelps followed by Le Clos and Matsuda. They only trail by 0.09 and 0.18 seconds respectively though!

Phelps still looking good for the win as we approach the 75m mark...

With 50m to go it is Phelps with a 0.38 lead over Matsuda, who has a 0.58 advantage over Le Clos.

LE CLOS AND MATSUDA CLOSING IN THE FINAL 50M! CHAD LE CLOS TAKES THE WIN! FOLLOWED BY PHELPS THEN MATSUDA! SCENES HERE AS PHELPS HAS LOST!!

Chado goes wild as he realises what hes achived! He is the first man to beat the "unbeatable" Phelps for 10 years!
