Olympics

ByTheMinRio2016

Well hello there! Roddy Graham here to bring you some swimming from Beijing. What a glorious sight.

It's the women's 400 metre freestyle up next...and there's a good chance of a British medal. Gold? Time will tell.

The medal may well come from a 19-year old from Mansfield in the form of Rebecca Adlington. She's poolside right now.

Now in the heats, Adlington stormed to 2nd place behind Pellegrini of Italy. In National Record time!! She's got a chance.

So here's your official start list for this one...come on Becks...and JJ too!

All revved up and ready to go...the 400m freestyle final...let's do this.

It's all about tactics in the 400m...Adlington and Jackson playing it calmly in the early stages...6th and 8th at 2nd turn.

Halfway mark now...Adlington still 6th but only half a second separates first from last! Hold on to your hats...

300m in...Adlington 5th...Jo Jackson 4th...they've got a REAL chance now...

50m remain....it's a three horse (well...human) race...Adlington...Jackson...Hoff...one of these will be Olympic champion.
