Tony Bellew

Boxing

GOOD EVENING FIGHT FANS! Boxing. On a Sunday night? I'm all for it. Roddy Graham here as Tony Bellew aims for world title glory at Goodison Park. Let's hope he doesn't become unstuck. Like a Toffee. Get it? Whatever...

I've just turned my telly box on and Stephen Smith seems to have won his fight. Well done. I didn't watch it. I watched the new Top Gear. It's not as bad as your Facebook friends will tell you.

I'm guessing that the Bellew fight is up next? Which would be handy, considering it was due on at 10pm...might get an extra 20 mins in bed tonight after all!

Goodison seems...well...distinctly empty to be honest. Think they were expecting 16,000. Should really have just gone to the Echo Arena. But hey, who am I to criticise holding a world title fight on a Sunday night at a minimum of £40 a pop...

There appears to be a couple of young guns in the ring right now. So perhaps we're still on for a 10pm ring walk (at the earliest) after all. Booooooo.

Just like last night when I covered the Ricky Burns fight, I'll admit I know next to nothing about Ilunga Makabu. Hopefully he'll be as useful as Di Rocco, who would have lost a few rounds to a paper bag.

Sky Sports + Boxing = adverts. They do love a good ad, don't they. Could probably get someone to write a ByTheMinute on just them...

"THIS PROGRAMME CONTAINS FLASHING IMAGES" Oh....now this normally means we're going to start the main event. But first, some Bellew chat about Everton.

Bellew looks like a competition winner among the Everton players. If he loses tonight, it might be as close as he'll get to the Goodison Park turf in the future...

Bellew now telling Johnny Nelson about the time he ran onto the pitch as a fan. Somewhere, a disgruntled Rangers fan is penning a blog as the "thuggish behaviour" of the young Tony.
