Good morning everyone! @hannakin here bringing you the R16 match Serena Williams vs Elina Svitolina. That's right....there's going to be some tennis at Roland Garros today!

It's a very (very) busy day at the French Open with all remaining singles players scheduled to be on court at some point today. We're first up on Philip Chartier with a match initially scheduled for monday. The players are out and knocking up.

The world number one has a 3-0 head-to-head record over the 18th seed Svitolina. Chances of an upset? Very unlikely, not that she needs the added advantage but these heavy conditions will no doubt favour Serena's game.

We're ready for some action, Serena to serve, ready? PLAY.

Serena heads to the net to finish off an early rally and goes 30-0 up, but an unforced error gives Svitolina her first point for 30-15. In the end a poor return of Serena's second serve brings up the hold.

Commentator Sam Smith has just informed us that Serena is today bidding for her 44th Grand Slam QF. Wow.

Svitolina with a pretty horrendous first service game, already 3 BREAK POINTS for Serena. She only needs the one.

Back serving, Serena sends a forehand wide to put Svitolina 30-15 up. A mishit return bounces up off the net cord and down right in front of Serena's feet, but she gets it back over for 30-30.

Cool as you like, an ace finishes off the game, Serena holding to 30 and is quickly 3-0 up.

Svitolina's serve is pretty much non-existent so far, she double faults and then a strong cross-court forehand puts Serena 30-0 up
