Royal Ascot

Afternoon everyone, I'm Rob Sutton and welcome to our coverage of day 2 at Royal Ascot, six more races to look forward to with the feature the Prince of Wales's Stakes at 4.20

The royal procession has just finished, the Queen was in Pink today for those of you who have a flutter on these things

Our first race of the day will be off at 2.30, it's the Jersey Stakes over 7f, couple of non-runners in this one, 9) Dragon Mall & 13) KentuckyConnection, leaving us with 19 to go to post

The favourite is Castle Harbour at 13/2, Ribchester is one of the best backed horses of the day (me included), second favourite at 7/1, Gifted Master is also 7/1, Ibn Malik, Thirkiyaat and the well fancied Remarkable are all 8/1, Light Music is the first royal runner of the week at 14/1

So a wide open first race on Day 2, out of the outsiders, Steady Pace, Scrtunineer and C Note look to be good each way chances

Dutch Connection took the race last year, ridden by Jim Crowley, he is on Raucous this time round, 50/1 and not much hope for a double

So Ribchester for me here, if you want an alternative, best bets are probably Castle Harbour, Remarkable and Gifted Master..

Latest odds: Castle Harbour 13/2F, Ribchester & Gifted Master 7/1, 8/1 Bar

The runners and riders are down at the start, the rain has stopped but it remains overcast, the going today is Soft.

Last ones being loaded in and off they go for the Jersey Stakes
