The feature race today is the Goodwood Cup, where Big Orange aims to retain his crown won last year. Three year old Sword Fighter leads the challenge in what looks a hot contest.

Elsewhere Blue Point looks to live up to the hype after two facile victories. Intelligence Cross and Mehmas bring the solid form.

We open with an ultra competitive handicap where Mark Johnston will be looking for another Goodwood winner and finish with the Lillie Langtree for the older fillies. John Gosden looks to have a strong hand.

Coverage just starting on Channel 4 - A look back at yesterdays racing and the fine "weather".

Latest odds for the opener -

Ladies Day on the Sussex Downs as we look back on Big Orange win in the Goodwood Cup. Looks a similar race this year. Sword Fighter is the interesting one with the potential for improvement.

20 minutes until the opener and Stargazer for Sir Michael Stoute is the favourite but it is an open looking race. He has been giving a break since winning on reappearance at Sandown. There could be more to come off a rating 96. For a competitive field he is short enough. Dwight D was ran in Derby trail races before finishing third at Newmarket.
