Swimming: James Guy goes for Gold

Here's the schedule for the next couple of hours:

David Plummer takes the Bronze ahead of Larkin and LaCourt. Not a great 10minutes for the Aussies who would have been hoping to have both the 100m Backstroke Golds in the bag and have instead come away with nothing.

The medal ceremony for the earlier 200m Freestyle Final about to take place. I'm not going to say anything about Sun Yang because I don't want his fans to come after me, but the BBC commentators are going into the murkier details of his career as he waits to get his gold.

Chad Le Clos' dad remains brilliant. His son is looking to make a getaway with his 200m butterfly semi-final coming up.

Right then. Sun Yang is being chased off and we've got big final about to get underway. It's the Women's 100m Breaststroke Final, here's the line-up:

Should be fireworks in this final between Lilly King and convicted doper Yulia Efimova. The American is giving the Russian absolute daggers in the call room. Defending champion Ruta Meilutyte also in contention.

Lilly King is still staring down Efimova as they take to the starting blocks. And we're off...

King and Meilutyte get out fastest and it's King first at the turn with fellow American Meili in second.

Lilly King takes the gold with a new Olympic Record!

Efimova was coming back all the way down that last 50m but King was never ever going to let the Russian beat her.

Efimova takes silver and King's compatriot Catherine Meili gets the bronze. Meilutyte down in 7th.
