The Daily Brit: Day Four

Good afternoon! Ready for 15 hours of Team GB updates? I certainly am. Let's crack straight on with it, then.

ROWING Alan Campbell has finished 2nd in his single scull quarterfinal, which is good enough to advance to the semis. Damir Martin of Croatia let for most of the race and came 1st.

ARCHERY Naomi Folkard is through to the second round, beating Indonesia's Ika Rochmawati in a shoot-off having led 5-1 in the earlier stages. Naomi's shoot-off arrow scored 9 while Ika could only manage a 7.

ROWING It's the semifinals of the men's pairs. Stewart Innes & Alan Sinclair finish a brilliant 2nd behind the totally dominant Hamish Bond & Eric Murray of NZL. They're into the final and surely have a great chance of a medal.

ROWING Katherine Grainger and Vicky Thornley with another strong 2nd place finish, puts them into the women's double sculls final! Poland looking pretty dominant in 1st place, but surely a chance for a fairytale medal for GB.

ROWING The GB men's double sculls pairing of John Collins & Jonathan Walton qualify for the finals, finishing in 3rd place.

EQUESTRIAN Two Brits have jumped so far in the final phase of the eventing competition. Kitty King has just jumped a clear round to end on 100.40 penalties, while Gemma Tattersall, also clear, picked up 4 time penalties and ends on 140.80.

ARCHERY Naomi Folkard is also successful in her 2nd round match, beating Kaori Kawanka (JAP) in a 6-0 whitewash. She'll play Brazilian Ane Marcelle Dos Santos in the last 16 at 1818BST on Thursday.

ROWING The men's lightweight four GB team of Chambers, Clegg, Aldred & Bartley finish 4th in their semifinals and are OUT. That's a shock. Well, the good fortune couldn't last, could it?
