Greetings lads and lasses ! Welcome to some tennis coverage from Rio. It's World No.2, Men's no.2 seed and defending champion ANDY MURRAY in action against Argentina's Juan Monaco. @Shash3011 here to bring you the coverage.

Let's get you started with the H2H. It stands marginally in favour of Murray at 3-2. These two met twice in 2009 & then twice in 2010, splitting the meetings in both years. Last meeting : Shenzhen SF 2014, Murray won in 3 sets. Also, 4 of their 5 matches have gone into a 3rd set decider with only one straight sets win, going Murray's way. This could be trickier than you think.

My broadcasters have magically decided to show some tennis just in time for this Murray match, so I'm obviously chuffed to bits. Nothing like watching Muzza on the big telly screen !

Right. So the players are done with their warm up's. Murray to serve first. Let's do this, Andy. Let's GO GO GO !!!!!!!!

Murray starts off with a slightly tentative hold to-30. Gets half the first serves in and does just about enough on the second. Forehand into the net from Monaco to put him on the board.

Good stuff from Murray now. He nails a couple of returns and forces Monaco to err off his backhand to go up *0-30. Another lovely return and Monaco nets on the reply forehand. 3 BREAK POINTS FOR MURRAY !

Monaco goes out all "painting the lines" and gets Murray out of the sideline to force a netted error. Good first serve next followed by more side-to-side aggression and bravo ! Two break points saved !

But he can't save the third one. MURRAY BREAKS in Monaco's very first service game ! Long rally there, easily over 15 shots. Both players go at it from the baseline until Murray ups the power on a forehand to score a winner.

Love-hold from Murray puts him up 3-0 in the first ! He nails all three first serves there and the forehand is looking really strong here. Forces a couple of errors on Monaco's cross-court before closing it out with a fine volley winner.

Much better from Monaco now. Gets in a couple of good first serves and goes all out at Murray's returns. It pays off just clipping the line, twice ! Murray gets in a nice passing winner but Monaco comes back with another forehand winner on a long rally. He holds to 15.
