Olympics

ByTheMinRio2016

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the day 4 heat session from beautiful Rio de Janiero well at least the swimming is in Rio I'm in sunny Scotland

So this afternoon we have the Men's 100m Freestyle then the Women's 200m Butterfly. The men's 200 breast followed by the men's 4x200 freestyle relay in which GB are the current world champs

How do we think today's heats are going to pan out for Team GB after 3 days of very fast swimming do we think more GB swimmers can make the semis and the finals of their events

Having a few technical difficulties with my video stream I may be a little late in bringing you the coverage

Finally sorted and now. I've only missed the first heat so not much missed onto heat 2 now.

A few of the lesser known swimmers getting their chance to take part in the biggest event in the world.

Heat number 2 won in a time of 50.65. Times have moved on a long way since Eric the eel

Irish interest in the next heat Shane Ryan in lane 2 also an ex GB athlete representing Paraguay as well

Shane Ryan going out in 23.5 and putting in a very good performance but the Algerian wins it in 49.8

The results from heat 3
