Swimming: Day Four Qualifying Heats

Olympics

ByTheMinRio2016

Seeing lots of different styles of swimming butterfly here some swimmers breathing to the side and some breathing to the front all about keeping as flat as possible in the water while your swimming

The American Adams takes the touch at the 100m mark in 1.01.6 looking very comfortable here

She's breathing to the side and wins the heat in 2.06.67 very fast swim from her and she looks delighted

Result from that latest heat

Into the final heat and the Aussie Groves in lane 4 taking it out very very fast. Belmonte surprisingly far behind. Groves working very hard here and now Flickinger in lane 2 coming back very quickly

Maddie Groves begins to hurt very very much and Belmonte takes the heat in 2.06.64

Massie groves went out really hard them died towards the end made it a very difficult to call this race

Onto the next event which is the Men's 200m Breastroke a very strong event for GB this one with Andrew Willis and Craig Benson

In this first heat we have Glenn Synders who is a very good Breastroker and just shows that the new way of swimmers qualifying for the olympics makes for very interesting early heats

Snyders and Caerts taking the race out over the distance and it looks like Snyders will take this heat in a time of 2.12.47
