Katie Ledecky goes in lane 5 in what is comfortably her weakest race. WR holder Pellegrini in lane 3 and Sarah Sjostrom in lane 4.

We're off, and it's Aussie Emma McKeon with a strong start, she's first at the turn.

Katie Ledecky edging ahead now down the penultimate straight and she's bang on world record pace at the final turn.

Katie Ledecky wins! What a race from the American who absolutely flew down the final 100m. Sjostrom gets the silver and Emma McKeon the bronze.

Incredible work from Ledecky who is primarily a distance swimmer. Just brilliant.

Right then. It's time for the big one. The Men's 200m Butterfly Final. You don't need reminding who's going in this one but here's the line-up anyway:

It's defending champ Chad Le Clos in line 5, side by side with WR holder Michael Phelps in lane 6. There will be fireworks. Watch out for Kenderesi and Cseh in lanes 4 and 3.
