Swimming: Michael Phelps Wins 20th and 21st Gold!

Much like in the 200m Freestyle yesterday Chad Le Clos has come out flying but it's Phelps first at the turn and he's a half body length ahead down the second 50m.

Phelps still first at the final turn but Le Clos is not going away and Kendereis is coming through...

Phelps sits atop the lane marker, arms in the air. How could you ever doubt him. 20. Gold. Medals.

Japanese swimmer Seto in second and Kenderesi in third. Le Clos faded down the last 50m and comes away with nothing.

Phelps is not only the first male swimmer to win the same event 3 times, he's also the oldest swimmer to win an Olympic gold, ever. You can't write stuff like this.

Whilst I was regaining my breath after that race the first of the Women's 200m Butterfly Semi Finals has been and gone. Zhou and Zhang take the first two places with Briana Throssell in third.

The second of the semi-finals is won by the Aussie Madeline Groves, she led from the start and held off a challenge from Spaniard Maria Belmonte who came in second. Hoshi of Japan in third place.

We've got a pause for the first medal ceremony of the evening. Katie Ledecky collects her second gold of these olympics for the 200m Freestyle.

A quick look at Chad Le Clos' wikipedia page, anyone?
