Once Bert sees this I expect to be paying tribute to Phelps in the morning. Bert smash.

Haha! I reckon Bert will be at the nearest computer doing some Wiki-editing of his own!

And finally...

One more set of semi-finals before the last medal races get underway. It's the Men's 200m Breaststroke.

Ippei Watanabe takes the first semi-final for Japan and sets a new Olympic Record in the process! Josh Prenot takes second and Yasuhiro Koseki gets third. Don't bet against that record being immediately broken in this next race...

We've got two Brits in the second semi-final: Andrew Willis and Craig Benson:

A great final 50m from Andrew Willis sees him in touch first ahead of the American Kevin Cordes in second. The Russian Chupkov in third. Another chance for a GB medal in the pool tomorrow!

Now for the Men's 200m Butterfly medal ceremony. Phelps holding back the tears as he accepts his 20th gold medal.

Maybe 21 later. A ridiculous human.

Right then. It's time for the Women's 200m Individual Medley Final. Fastest qualifier Siobhan-Marie O'Connor is in lane five. World Record Holder Katinka Hosszu is in lane six. Defending Olympic Champion Yi Shiwen is in lane six. Can the Brit do it?

They're off, Hosszu and O'Connor both out strongly on the fly leg, a horrible start for Yi Shiwen.

Hosszu is stronger on the backstroke leg but she's not able to pull away and O'Connor is starting to come back on the breaststroke leg. It's Hosszu ahead on the final turn.
