Brewster and Tidey have their work cut out!

In Brewster and Tidey we trust...

GOLF: Early update from the Golf Tournament in Round 3, and Padraig Harrington has parred his opening two holes. Seamus Power hasn't started yet, but has had a big bowl of porridge for breakfast according to my sources* *I made that up.

ROWING: We all felt that Sanita Puspure was unlucky not to make the Olympic Semi-Final, and now we have proof. She has WON the 'C' Final, and officially finishes the Olympics in 17th, and would probably have beaten a number of the semi-finalists. Qualification based on placings in races rather than times. Stupid rules. WELL DONE SANITA!

ATHLETICS: GOOD NEWS - Kerry O'Flaherty (Winner of the most Irish name at the Olympics) has run a Seasons Best in her 3000m Steeplechase Heat 1, a time of 9:45:35 BAD NEWS - It only got her into 14th position, and she hasn't qualified. Still, all you can do is your best, as my Mammy always says, and that's what Kerry did. Good for her.

CYCLING: Shannon McCurley has finished 5th in the Women's Kierin Heat 4, and she will move onto the Repechage section soon. Updates to follow.

ATHLETICS: Michelle Finn has finished in 11th place in Heat 2 of the 3000m Steeplechase in 9:49:45, where the Top 3 qualify. That's all I got to say about that, as Forrest Gump once opined.
