ATHLETICS Scot Callum Hawkins, who was in the leading group for the best part of 90 minutes, comes through to finish NINTH in the marathon! That's out of 155 starters! He runs 2:11.52, 3 minutes 8 seconds behind winner Eliud Kipchoge of Kenya. A brilliant run from Callum!

ATHLETICS News on the other Brits in the men's marathon... Derek Hawkins, Callum's older brother, finishes 114th in a time of 2:29.24. Tsegai Tewelde had to retire from the race around 67 minutes in, forced off the road by a niggling injury.


MOUNTAIN BIKING Grant Ferguson crosses the line 17th in a time of 1:39.10, 5 minutes 42 seconds behind Nino Schurter, who collects a gold medal for Switzerland. REPORT:

SILVER MEDAL BOXING Great Britain's Joe Joyce is defeated by top seed Tony Yoka of France in the super-heavyweight final to round off Rio 2016 for Team GB with their 67th medal. REPORT:

AND THAT'S IT! Great Britain's athletes have won, lost, fought, raced and powered their way through the Summer Olympic Games of Rio 2016. Our athletes have won: 27 GOLD 23 SILVER 17 BRONZE That's pretty damn good. Shall we do all this again in four years?
