World Championship Darts

Ok, strap yourselves in for this afternoon's action from Ally Pally. I'm @pefo5 trying to make some sense of this for you.

Today we start with a preliminary round between Qiang Sun and Mick McGowan. Neither appears to have a nickname. Can't be right.

Followed by John 'Hendo' Henderson (imaginative) v Darren 'Demolition Man' Webster (we'll be the judge of that) in the 1st round.

Chris will be taking up the reigns later for Justin Pipe v Christian Kist.

Here we go. China v Ireland. Could be a classic. But probably won't. McGowan is favourite for this. Winner plays Mark Webster tonight.

Bristow: "if the Chinese fella starts off well it'll put pressure on McGowan" Great insight from the Crafty Cockney

Sun starts with a very wayward dart and the crowd immediately take him to their hearts

Sun takes ages to line up each dart. And he's bust a 133 finish!

Oh no he now misses the board by about 6 inches ans McGowan mops up for the 1st leg.

McGowan does a very weird goldfish impression when he throws.
