Denver Broncos

Carolina Panthers

Evening everyone! The new NFL season is here. Denver hosts Carolina in a Super Bowl 50 rematch! Sky's coverage heads straight into the stadium as John Elway comes out with the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

We see Von Miller with the trophy in the locker room, and Peyton Manning out with the trophy. Broncos certainly milking it, and why not?

I'm taking the Broncos to win tonight by the way. May be in the minority, but I expect Denver's defense to be in the Panthers backfield all night, and while we have an untried QB for the Broncos, Manning sucked last season, and still won the Super Bowl. Trevor Siemian starts for Denver. Never thrown an NFL pass before. We'll see how he does.

Someone is currently destroying the anthem trying to make it their own. Brandon Marshall doesn't stand. This story is going to run and run all season I suspect.

Carolina kicking off. It's time! Gano, a good Scotsman, kicks off and it's through the endzone for a touchback. It's Denver after all.

1st and 10: side arm pass to Thomas for 11 yards. Siemian completes his first NFL pass. Good start.

Siemian throws incomplete under pressure from Kurt Coleman. 2nd down play action, pass is incomplete. 3rd and 10 coming up.

Siemian gets happy feet, rolls left, but fires for 11 yards to Green for the first down. Denver rolls on.

Quick throw to Emmanuel Sanders for a short gain. Gonna run the ball at all?

2nd and 5: first play in Panthers territory is is 12 yard run from CJ Anderson to the CAR 34.
