Ahoy there! Andrew Corcoran with you to kick off our coverage of Day Two of the Paralympics.

And we've just had a GOLD MEDAL in the velodrome, thanks to GBR's Sophie Thornhill and Helen Scott in the B 1,000m time trial. They broke the Paralympic record on their go around the track which couldn't be bettered by any of the other competitors. A great start to the day for ParalympicsGB!

At the Athletics, we're watching Stef Reid jump for GB in the T44 Long Jump Final. Her first attempt is a NEW PARALYMPIC RECORD 5.64m. That'll do!

Zoe Newson has just won a BRONZE MEDAL in the women's 45kg Powerlifting with a 102kg lift. China's Hu Dandan broke the world record with a lift of 107kg. Hopefully we'll see the footage of that on Channel 4 a bit later.

Back on the track, the men are lining up for the T13 100m final. Jason Smyth runs for Ireland in Lane 5.

GOLD FOR IRELAND as Jason Smyth gets a great start and leads all the way! The Irishman delivers again on the track, and that's the 1st gold at these Paralympic Games for Ireland. A time of 10.64 seconds!

Smyth takes in the applause from the thousands of supporters in the stadium, running a lap of honour down the back straight.

10 years without losing a race for Jason Smyth, we're told. Now THAT'S domination of your sport!

GBR's women's wheelchair team are 65-11 up on Argentina with 7 minutes of the 4th quarter to go! That's a much better result after their defeat to Canada yesterday.

We've just seen the shots of Zoe Newson winning and collecting her bronze medal in the powerlifting, wiping away the tears on the podium.
