Paralympics: Day Three

Afternoon all, Steph here to cover action from the Paralympics for a couple of hours. Let's hope there's no more of Johnny Vegas' belly wobbling today.

Some amazing performances yesterday in cycling, athletics, swimming and even power lifting has seen Great Britain success and a comfortable 2nd place in the medals table.

There's no live action being shown at the moment and there's only the one Brit going for a medal this afternoon - Megan Giglia in the 500m Time Trial in track cycling. 4 more cyclists will be on track this evening including Dame Sarah Storey and Kadeena Cox who already has a bronze from last nights athletics.

Joe Townsend and Ryan Taylor are competing in the Triathlon this afternoon but the hosts aren't broadcasting it live so I'll fish about for updates elsewhere for you.

Rowing update Tom Aggar won his repechage in the single sculls. Final tomorrow.

Time for some live action at last. Get your goggles on, we're going swimming. Heats this afternoon are stacked with British Ellies - both Simmonds and Robinson.

First up though we have the S6 mens 50m freestyle with Sascha Kindred going for GB.

Kindred in 4th place and will probably miss the final but that isn't his specialist distance so we'll see him again. It was won by a Chinese guy. The italian called Dolfin came last!

The Women's S6 Freestyle 50m heats are under way. Here's our first look at Ellie Simmonds.

Ellie prefers longer distances too but finishes 2nd and looks good for a place in the final. Ukrainian Mereshko was first.
