Sascha Kindred: "I'm trying not to swear. This morning I was DQ'd. We won the appeal. This crowd is amazing, and a world record! At London I knew I had more in me, and these last 4 years has been PB after PB. Thank you to my team."

No time for a breather. Here comes Ellie Simmonds. Can she be buoyed on by that win? The Channel 4 team bet that she was watching that race in the warm-up room.

At the athletics, it's a SILVER MEDAL confirmed for Jonathan Broom-Edwards in the T44 High Jump final with a jump of 2.10m. Lepiato of Poland takes gold, jumping 2.13m.

They're off in the women's 200m Individual Medley - SM6 final! Come on Ellie!

Ellie powers through on the breaststroke to lead by 1.28 seconds at the 150m turn.

GOLD MEDAL FOR ELLIE SIMMONDS! AND A NEW WORLD RECORD!!! 2:59.81 She's 2.5 seconds ahead of her nearest rival and Ellie gives a big smile as she looks up at the scoreboard. That's her SEVENTH Paralympic medal.

Ellie: "I don't think it's sunk in yet! It was a hard race. I'm so happy to go under 3 mins. I'm just gonna enjoy the ceremony tonight and focus on the 400m tomorrow. I was so nervous leading into that race. I felt I was going to be sick! But I had a great warm-up and I'm really chuffed. 3 minutes was my target to beat. To be the 1st SM6 to do that - I'm so happy."

The Ukrainian who finished 2nd has been disqualified, meaning that Ellie's nearest rival (Song of China) was a massive 3.4 seconds behind her!
