Panthers end game with FG, win over 49ers 46-27.


Under a half hour from kickoff in Charlotte between the 0-1 Panthers and the 1-0 49ers. I'm Sctvman, and I will guide you through this ball game.

The Panthers have had a long layoff (10 days) since their opener in Denver, where they suffered an extremely tough defeat. The 49ers played the late game Monday night against the Rams, who were shut out, and now have to fly on a short week for a 10am local time kick.

49ers/Panthers will be broadcast on Fox by Chris Myers, Ronde Barber, and Jennifer Hale, live from Charlotte. No UK television coverage, so to get a full version of this game, you have to read here.

The 49ers are heavy underdogs. 12.5 points, to be exact.

29 degrees in Charlotte. A very warm, humid day. Warming up to 31 before the game is over.

Fox has 6 guys in suits in the studio, including Troy Aikman, who is doing the Rams/Seahawks game today, but since the studios are in LA, he can do the studio.

A much different feel than the last time these two teams played, which was in the 2013 NFC Divisional Playoff, one where the 49ers and Colin Kaepernick won 23-10 over the Panthers on their home field in Charlotte.
