Evening All - It's all hotting up in the MLB as the regular season comes to an exciting conclusion. Pennant races and Wild Card spots all still up for grabs in the American League, and no division is more hotly contested than the Eastern Division. Boston hold the upper hand but they are being chased all the way by the Blue Jays and the Orioles.

Tonight Seattle has been invaded by Canadians as Toronto look to sweep the Mariners in a three game series. The Blue Jays have won 3-2 and 10-2 in the two game so far and look to have returned to form just at the right time. Seattle need a win if they are to keep their slim wildcard hopes alive so we should be all set for a humdinger of a game.

Felix Hernandez is on the mound for Seattle tonight and he is ready to go, pitching to Devon Travis leading off for the Jays. He is on a 17 game hit streak at the moment. Ground ball to Marte who takes it on his knees and gets it to first on one hop for a great play and the first out of the game.

Josh Donaldson has looked good since his return from injury. Full count for the hitter and he drills one up the middle where Cano takes it at the 2nd base bag and skips it across to Lind at first. 2 out for Toronto

Edwin Encarnacion is having a day as the designated hitter today. Pops one up to Lind at first base and he makes the catch to end the inning. TOR 0-0 SEA Mid 1

Aaron Sanchez is back in the rotation for the Blue Jays today. His arm is being managed for the potential post season to come. Gets the lead off hitter Norichika Aoki to pop up and Tulowitzki steps back to make the play.

Seth Smith is next up for Seattle. Sanchez has had issues with blisters making it difficult to grip the ball but he has been given the all clear to go today. Gets Smith to swing and miss and he is struck out.

Robinson Cano is the number 3 hitter for Seattle. Gets the benefit of the doubt on a check swing to avoid being the second strikeout of the inning. Almost like a home game this for Toronto as the crowd get right behind Sanchez and he responds with another strikeout.

Jose Bautista leads off the second for Toronto. Pulls one into left field but it is straight at Aoki. A laser that never really got more than 10 feet of the ground and is well taken for the first out of the inning.
