World Darts Championship: Day 4

Good evening everyone, it's day four of the PDC World Darts Championship. That means it's 4 days closer to Christmas, 4 days closer to that frantic trip to the shops to panic buy crap nobody actually wants. But don't worry about that. Sit back, relax and keep up to date with all the action from this evening's session

Alistair Sargent (@AllyS_1988) here to bring you all the darting drama as it happens. Here is what is in store tonight

Earlier today Chris Dobey, Mark Webster and Iain White made it in to round two. Tonight sixteen (16) time World Champion will be looking to join them. Will he do it? Almost certainly. He will play the winner of tonight's first match, a prelim match between qualifiers John Bowles and David Platt

The crowd in fine voice this evening. Not resorted to ridiculous taunting of the "plebs" in the cheap seats or the table toffs yet...

Oh I speak too soon. "Boring boring tables". Boring boring chant. Bore off and watch something else!!

Platt v Bowles underway. Best of 3 sets for the right to play Phil Taylor. Healthy reward.

"Yayayaya KoloKoloKolo Toure" chant the crowd. I believe they play in this evening's 3rd game. Idiots.

"Stand up if you love the darts". Better. Good atmosphere to be fair. Even if the song selection is dross at most times

Platt 1-0 Bowles. A very nervy opening leg. David Platt finally pegs D12 at the fourth attempt. Bowles had three darts from 40 to break the throw but missed tops, tens and fives
