College Basketball; Big 12 Semi-Final

Join me, Oliver McManus, at midnight for the first Big 12 college basketball semi-final; TCU Horned Frogs face the Iowa State Cyclones at the Sprint Center, Kansas City

Iowa State finished 4th in the Big 12 Conference (regular season) with a record of 12-6.

TCU finished 8th with a direct opposite record of 6-12, in regular season play.

TCU have made it into the semi-finals courtesy of an 82-63 win against, 9th seed, Oklahoma in the first round.

In the quarter-finals, they pulled off a massive upset in beating 13 times consecutive Big 12 regular-season champions Kansas Jayhawks by 85 points to 82.

Iowa, on the other hand, received a bye into the quarter-final. Once there, they comfortably beat 5th seed Oklahoma State, 92-83.

When we look at OVERALL records for both teams, TCU are on 11-19, whilst Iowa are on 16-12-1.

As an underdog, TCU have won 4 and lost 10.

As a favourite, Iowa have won 10, lost 6 and drawn 1. Room for a slip-up.
