Hello Everyone and welcome to our (slightly delayed) coverage of the NCAA Men's College Basketball Championship Game, the culmination of March Madness. I'm Stephen Clark and we are five minutes into the game between the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the North Carolina Tar Heels

The match is being played in Phoenix in front of 80,000 fans and features a team with a storied history in North Carolina (MIchael Jordan's old school) and the debutant finalists of Gonzaga from the Pacific North West

Coming up to the second media time out (they come every four minutes or so) and Gonzaga are on a little scoring burst to move into the lead. GON 19 NC 14

Seven unanswered points for Gonzaga as they open up the biggest lead of the night. 21-14

Gonzaga making it difficult for NC to make anything offensively until Joel Berry is fouled as he goes up for a three point shot. Hits that, draws the foul but misses the free throw

And just like that NC are back in the game. A Justin Jackson lay up moves the Tar Heels back within 2 21-19

GONZAGA 21 NORTH CAROLINA 19 - 7:53 remaining in 1st

Apologies for the sporadic updates. Wasn't expecting to be on duty tonight and am currently in the middle of a couple of night feeds! We are inside the final four minutes of the first half and the Zags are pulling ahead again on the back of some solid free throw shooting, the odd three pointer and some solid defence. 28-21

Another foul on Berry as he goes for three sees him earn a trip to the free throw line for North Carolina. Hits them all but the Zags respond with a 3 point shot from Nigel Williams-Goss 33-30

Missed Free Throws for both sides as the half comes to an end. Another opportunity for North Carolina to trim the lead as Theo Pinson is fouled in the paint. He hits both to make it a one point ball game. 33-32
