Moto GP

Good afternoon everyone! Welcome to BTM coverage of the the Italian Moto GP! We're spoilt this week, with another race next week, hopefully we'll get a couple of crackers - sure we will, as there's rarely a dull Moto GP. @Ugster1 with you for it.

It's the sixth round of the championship, 23 laps of the Mugello circuit. A certain Mr Rossi has won nine times here, so he's got to be a good shot for your 50p. Plenty of others in the mix though.

Championship standings after Le Mans: Maverick Vinales - 85 points Dani Pedrosa - 68 Valentino Rossi - 62 Marc Marquez - 58 Johann Zarco - 55 Andrea Dovizioso - 54

So Vinales with a decent lead, but a long, long way to go in the championship. He's on pole here though, ahead of Rossi and Dovi.

Grid (Vinales on pole) Vinales, Rossi, Dovizioso Pirro, Pedrosa, Marquez Lorenzo, Bautista, Petrucci Rabat, Zarco, Espargaro (A) Crutchlow, Barbera, Folger Iannone, Baz, Espargaro (P) Miller, Redding, Abraham Lowes, Smith, Guintoli

Nearly 100,000 in attendance, yellow smoke all around the circuit as the riders do the warm up lap. Quite a sight.

And we're off! And Rossi gets the flyer, and leads into the first corner!

Lorenzo up to third from seventh on the grid, Vinales in second.

Lorenzo nearly gets under both Yamahas on the straight, but can't make it stick. But then he has another go, and this time pulls it off - Lorenzo leads!

Jump start penalty for Aleix Espargaro.
