Hello hello! It's the 104th running of Le Tour de France! Will 2017 be the most open TDF in many years? Well, it starts with a prologue in Dusseldorf, Germany. I'm @TimBonvilleGinn. The weather is awful in Germany as I'm in sunny Yorkshire!

Here comes Thibaut Pinot to the line, no longer the French champ in the TT, he's not getting yellow today, 16'54" is his time. Nikias Arndt leads for the moment

So, two riders have been on the deck so far, Dylan Groenewegan and Scott Thwaites, they're both okay as Peter Sagan kicks off his bid to win a 6th green jersey!

Schär coming to the finish now, he's hurting but sets a decent time, 16'48" Arndt's time is 16'20"

Roman Kreuziger is out on course as Betancur is finishing with a 16'58" which isn't bad

Sagan looking like he's being a bit courteous at the moment as he overtakes the tram... Sagan does look like he's going for it now on this open bit but he is taking is nice and calm through the bends

Rolland is way down at 17'20! As Vasil Kiriyenka sets off in Team Sky's dull and pointless white TDF jersey

Matteo Trentin is doing a good time for the moment as is Sagan, here comes the 1km to go for him!

Here comes Peter Sagan!! He misses out on the fastest time, 16'29" as Trentin is coming in with a 16'14" and tha5 is the new fastest time!!

Kiriyenka inside 5km to go as, apparently, he had a little shaky moment, Kiriyenka leads at the split, but, has that slip slowed him?
