Tour de France 2017: Stage 14

Cycling

Good afternoon everyone! @TimBonvilleGinn here for a lumpy transition stage going into Rodez. The likes of Van Avermaet, Matthews, Colbrelli, Degenkolb and Boassan Hagen are the favourites for today... 72km to go with a 5 man break 2'29" up the road

Hollenstein, Vouckler, Roosen, Bouet and De Gendt is our 5 man break. They started as a 4 man break from KM 0 but Hollenstein decided to join the fun about 6km later

BMC and Sunweb have done most the work today but Bahrain Merida have one rider there too, they're keeping the break at arms length. Sadly, entertainment has been lacking in this stage thus far, but we're set for an explosive finally!!

By the way, we have one abandonment from today's stage. That is the Trek Segafredo rider of Fabio Felline, who we can only assume is ill or has crashed in the past days

It looks like Katusha have washed the white socks with the red kit! The socks look slightly pinkish today on Reto Hollenstein

66km to go for this stage, it was a superb 2 years ago in Rodez when Van Avermaet and Sagan really battled to the line with Greg taking it! That was the point where Greg started a very successful spell!

Since the win, Greg has won, to name a few, Tirreno Adriatico, Olympic gold, Paris Roubaix, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad (twice) and many many other races!

It's got very hot all of a sudden, the winds dropped and it's quietened down... is a storm brewing? The sky is still blue thankfully

52km to go with a 1'36" as we're close to the top of the first categorised climb

Ahhh it's been a while, Carlton reading out my tweet and messing up my name! Great to be back as a feature on the Eurosport tour coverage!
