Scottish Open: Final Round

Rafa Cabrera Bello -13 (Won on 1st Play Off Hole) Callum Shinkwin -13 Matthieu Pavon -10 Ryan Fox -8 Andrew Dodt -8 Padraig Harrington -8 Anthony Wall -8 Matt Kuchar -8

Evening all. @NiallHawthorne here doing what all the pros do a week before The Open, getting some practice in, namely The Scottish Open. Leaders approaching the back-nine so let's check on the stories of the day so far...

BIG MOVERS: Padraig Harrington (-7). You got to feel for Paddy this week. He's essentially won this tournament in three rounds, but stuffed it with a 79 yesterday. He's -5 thru 16 today, which puts him -14 through 52 holes (if you ignore yesterday). Watch him next week... Robert Rock (-7). A bogey at the last a rare blemish in a round of 66, leaving him on -7 for the tournament.

Callum Shinkwin has just sunk two birdies in a row to move to the top of the leaderboard. He'll be hoping he has a putt he can sink to win the tournament on 18. Clever(ish) word play lads and lassies. Get used to it.

Rafa Cabrera Bello is prowling at the top of the leaderboard, flexing those impressive biceps, -4 thru 10 and two off the lead. Johan Carlsson just missed a putt for birdie on 9, leaving him at -7 and looking like the next Thor should the other fella get bored of that gig. Great hair.

Andrew Dodt of Australia had moved to -11 a bit earlier, but a 6 on the Par 5 5th was a bit of a blow. How we have two players at the top of the leaderboard called Callum and Andrew, neither of them Scottish, is a travesty.

Matthieu Pavon of France having a good day when it counts, -4 for the day thru 12 and on -8 overall. BIRDIE KLAXON! Rafa Cabrera Bello drains one to move to -10 and he's really the big threat here you feel.

Callum Shinkwin has just arrowed an iron into the 9th green and has about 4 feet for his third birdie in a row and a chance to put some daylight between himself and the chasing pack before he moves onto the knee-knocking back nine.... AND HE MAKES IT. Out in 33, he'd have dreamed of that last night. Well, that and Jodie Whittaker to be the new Doctor, obviously.

Ian Poulter is +1 for the day, hasn't got it going at all, but a nice shot leaves him with a birdie putt on the 8th. Andrew Dodt tops that though and has a putt of about 10 feet to try and remain on the coattails of Shinkwin.

BIRDIE FOR PADRAIG HARRINGTON! A final round of 66, to go with rounds of 67, 68 and SEVENTYNINE (79) He left this behind, and he knows it. Next week though Paddy, next week....
