Swimming World Championships

Hello, and we don't bring you much of this normally here on ByTheMinute - swimming! We're live to cover the evening session of today's World Championship action in Budapest

Adam Peaty - of course you've heard of him. He's already set a new Championship record in the semi, and goes in the men's 100 breaststroke today.

But we'll be with you for the next two and a bit hours to bring you all the action. Or try.

The ByTheMin Twitter saying I'm not in the pool. Been a while for me, my only credentials are narrowly missing out on swimming for Bolton back when I would have been 11 - 2002...

And Peaty's race is first up!

They're away! Murdoch is t'other GB lad in lane 1

Peaty already well in front as they turn!

57.47 Peaty wins!

Peaty gets gold, Cordes of the USA came second, bronze goes to Prigoda of Russia

The American was the only one who stuck with him - the second fastest time in history, but it wasn't really in doubt.
