Evening! Middlesex and Hampshire meet at Lords as the group stage of the T20 Blast starts to move to a conclusion. Hampshire are fourth in the table, the final qualification spot, and that is a point and two places ahead of there hosts tonight. It's an important game and it's all live here with myself, Joe Love.

First things first, Middlesex have won the toss and will bat first. This is the side they are lining up with.

And the Hampshire line-up is as below. Afridi misses out with a back injury.

Southee, Finn, Roland-Jones, Malan and McCullum are all missing for one reason or another from the Middlesex side, which is obviously not very helpful when trying to win cricket matches. Obviously.

The players stride out the the middle, surrounded by fireworks and a pretty full crowd at The Home of Cricket. Gareth Berg will open the bowling to Nick Gubbins and Stevie Eskinazi.

Eskinazi nudges a single down to third man to start the ball rolling for Middlesex. Berg half heartedly appeals as Gubbins jogs away for a leg bye. Ervine is at slip but an edge drops just short of him as Eskinazi survives and then shows some aggression, slicing two down to third man. They scamper a single to mid-on before a dot as a cut finds point. 5 from the opening over.

Wood to bowl the second over but Eskinazi again takes two to third man before taking a single down there. A misfield, Ervine letting it through his legs at cover and Gubbins gets himself off the mark with a single.

Wood then beats Eskinazi as he tries to swing it over midwicket but he does get a couple with a flick to deep square leg before he toe ends one to mid-off for a single to end the over.

Kyle Abbott will bowl the third over and nearly gets a wicket with an inside edge from Eskinazi that flashes past the stumps and compounds the bowlers misery by flashing all the way for four, the first boundary. Another streaky one! This time bottom edging it through roughly second slip for another four. A single down to third man moves Eskinazi to 19 from 12.

Excellent fielding from Crane saves a couple, diving away to stop a Gubbins pull shot from reaching the boundary. Abbott escapes a wide as the ball flicks Gubbins pad on it's way down the leg side. Gubbins flicks away to deep midwicket for a single. 24-0 after 3 overs.
