Arctic Race of Norway: Stage 1

Cycling

ByTheMinCycle

Hello hello, a brief break for me, but I'm back for one of te most gorgeous races in the cycling calender. The Arctic Race of Norway! Sadly, the weather is horrible

@TimBonvilleGinn here of course, the peloton is lead by Katusha and Dimension Data. Dimension Data have Eisel in the break, Diaz also there, unsure on the spelling off the third so I'm not attempting it. He's Norwegian

There is a group of riders 1'15" in between the break and the peloton which includes Grosu and Van Bilsen. Lukkedal is the Norwegian in the break

Katusha lead for Kristoff and Dimension Data working for Boassan Hagen. The peloton now is 2'31" back with 37km to go

We've had a bit of sleet, a lot of rain. It still looks like a stunning place! Reto Hollenstein leads the peloton with 32km to go. Gap at 1'54"

Transfer news Boswell leaving Sky for Katusha Haas leaving Dimension Data for Katusha Formolo leaving Cannondale for Bora Villella leaving Cannondale for Astana Some very weird moves there

Just crossing the Rombak Bridge. 25km to go, Eisel will be in the Salmon jersey tomorrow! 27" between the 2 groups, the group in between was caught, Eisel and co will be brought back

Oh no that chasing group did catch the break! And Grosu attacks! Eisel looking to pull it back! 23km to go and a 26" gap

I know we focus on the riding, but WOW

Absolutely stunning. I would love to visit
