World Athletics Championships 2017

Odds are stacked against the Brit though, Kimberly Duncan (USA) outside of her, Santos and Kambundji also there.

Well...there goes Santos! Falls out the blocks wayyyyy before the gun. She's walked off before they've even shown her the card!

Safe start at the second time of asking....It's Miller-Uibo in 22.50 from Duncan from Kambundji (SUI) from Facey (JAM). Williams back in sixth.

No lingering problems for Miller-Uibo clearly, that's good to see.

Back to the triple jump, fourth round, a shout of frustration from Claye, no improvement from him. Similarly length from Christian Taylor on his fourth jump. Still in first but no improvement.

Last of the 200m semi-finals. Dina Asher-Smith, the big British hope, goes in lane 4. Marie-Josee Ta Lou (CIV) to her right in lane 4.

Asher-Smith gets a flying start, Ta Lou comes through for a pretty easy win and Asher-Smith hangs on for the second automatic qualifying spot. Above and beyond the Brit's expectations, just months after breaking a bone in her foot she's into the final of the World Championships!

All three heats won in 22.49/50. Should be a great final tomorrow!

Will Claye looking to put pressure on Taylor's another big jump, think he's just short of gold though...17.53. Stays in second. Taylor with a 17.38m can't extend his lead, it stays at 5cm going into the final round.

The action just keeps coming, out come the women's 400m hurdlers. Delilah Muhammed the favourite for this one. GB team captain Eilidh Doyle is in lane 2.
