BinckBank Tour: Stage 6

Cycling

ByTheMinCycle

Good afternoon everyone once again @TimBonvilleGinn here for the Binck Bank Tour! The weather is atrocious in Belgium today. They have 52km to go with a 2'50" gap, it's Lotto Soudal, BMC and Lotto NL Jumbo leading the peloton with a very very strong break up the road

Here is the break... Tony Martin Rory Sutherland Pieter Weening Alexis Gougeard Dylan Van Baarle Tao Geohegan-Hart Told you it was strong!! They have 2'50" with 49km to go.

Big name riders, including our new leader, Lars Boom, changes jackets. It's literally a bag by the looks of it. He was fined 1000 Swiss Franks last night after his finish yesterday. If you see the tile photo (I didn't pick it) that's the problem. He also shouted out a swear word. It's been put down to relief but he has apologised

Also, even though I didn't pick the tile this time, I hope nobody is offended or upset with what Lars Boom is 'saying' or rather, doing. I think this picture is much better. We have since changed the tile.

Annnyywwaayy here is what they're tackling today. They'll be crossing the line for the first time in a few KMs as Stuyvan and a couple teammates have crashed!

And the peloton is really pushing on! Stuyvan may be very worried about this! 45km left with 2'06" gap, it's coming down

Interesting to see Bora and more prominently, Sunweb, come to the front. Curvers is pushing hard! 13km to the line on the Cote du Saint Roche, you may remember that name from Liege Bastogne Liege!

Ah sorry, the line isn't on the Saint Roche, but it is a heck of a nasty day

Saint Roche is 1.3km at 9.7% average gradient!

The weather looks to be drying. Sunweb really are driving it along. 40km to go with a 1'20" gap now for the break!
