UFC 215: Nunes vs. Shevchenko 2

Hello everyone! Jody Jamieson here with UFC 215 from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Despite late troubles, the card stacks up quite nicely. Here's what's on the docket for tonight.

Quick note, it's new rules tonight, so yay for that. Here's your opening fight.

KAJAN JOHNSON VS. ADRIANO MARTINS We open at lightweight with a man who made his name criticising Reebok at the UFC Athletes' Retreat a few months back. British Columbia's Johnson fights for the first time in 2 years against the Brazilian Martins, who dropped a split decision to Leonardo Santos last time at UFC 204.

UFC debuting the new range of reebok kits tonight. A definite asthetic improvement, despite all my feeling towards that stupid deal. And Johnson's too I guess.

Johnson vs. Martins. Martins goes in as a massive betting favourite. Refere is Big John McCarthy, who's getting his work in early. Fight is on!

Martins out in a southpaw stance as always. Johnson circling trying to find range. Martins very relaxed.

Martins trying to cut off the Octagon early. They trade leg kicks.

Martins lands a nice hook inside. Johnson switching stances often, but not finding any success early.

Martins just stalking him patiently as we approach the midway point of the round. Not a lot of action.

Johnson throws off a couple of high kicks that are easily blocked. Fans already restless.
