Good afternoon all and welcome to BTM coverage of the San Marino Moto GP! @Ugster1 with you for it. Riders just on the warm up lap...

...and the big news is that it's hosing it down! Riders in all classes have had trouble staying on the bikes, so this could be fun, to say the least...

Vinales on pole...Here we go...

Poor start from Vinales, Dovi does well...but it's Lorenzo who leads!

27 laps to go: First crash already, Abraham goes down at the third corner. No Rossi, of course, after breaking his leg last week. So after the first lap it's Lorenzo - Marquez - Dovi - Vinales - Crutchlow.

Apparently the rain is going off slightly, but that won't really matter given the state of the track. And Marquez loses the rear end on a corner, lucky to stay on!

A reminder - it was Vinales - Dovi - Marquez on the front row, the three principles for the World Championship (Dovi leading Marquez and Vinales prior to this race).

24 laps to go: Lorenzo really opening a gap up here, remains ahead of Marquez, Dovi and Petrucci, who's the fast man on track and closing in on Dovi.

Issues for Marquez? All looks good, but pit crew preparing a second bike...

Looks like the steel brakes are going on the spare bike, rather than the carbons he has on now. But he'll lose loads of time making the change...
