Tampa Bay Buccaneers

New England Patriots

Evening All - Stephen Clark here with some Thursday Night Football and having sat through the Old England Footballers earlier on, it's time for the New England Patriots. The SuperBowl Champions are surprisingly struggling this season and are just 2-2 heading into this Week 5 encounter. They are up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the only place Bill Belichick has failed to win as a Head Coach.

The Patriots are already hurting defensively this season, ranking last in most of the major statistical categories. And while they are always in the game with Tom Brady at the helm, he is missing his main man Rob Gronkowski tonight. The Patriots Tight End is missing through injury for this one.

The Bucs are 2-1 after 4 weeks, missing the opening week as they sat out Hurricane Irma. Tonight they look to go level with the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC South with a win. QB Jameis Winston is the undoubted leader of this side but they too are hampered by injuries on the defensive side of the ball. This should be a high scoring affair so buckle up and get ready for a feast of football.

Colour Rush uniforms on a Thursday night so Tampa in all red kick off to the Patriots in all white. The Pats start on their own 24 following the kick off.

3 consecutive passing plays from the Pats to kick things off. Picking up about 5 yards each time. $th consecutive 5 yard play takes the Patriots close to midfield. Brady coming out firing

Not this time though!!! Brady picked off looking for Chris Hogan over the middle, shooting over the receiver's head and Justin Evans is the man to collect the ball. First pick of Brady on the road for two years.

Bucs face a 3rd & long situation as Winson overthrows Sims III on the sideline. Looks for Evans downfield but again it's just slightly overthrown and the Bucs can't capitalize on the turnover. Tampa Bay will punt the ball away. Patriots will start on the 20 yard line. BUCS 0-0 PATRIOTS 11:28 Q1

1st & 10 for the Patriots and Brady again looks for Hogan over the middle but it's incomplete.

2nd & 10 - Brady dumps it off to Amendola for 5 yards. Dink and Dunk for New England so far. On 3rd & 5 Brady stands in the pocket and fires to Brandin Cooks but he simply drops the ball and the Patriots go 3 and out.

Punt sees the Bucs start on around their own 35 yard line. Not quite the offensive explosion we were expecting so far. TB 0-0 NE (10:32 Q1)
