Hello and welcome! In about quarter of an hour, Pau and Gloucester will get the 2017-18 Challenge Cup underway...

Gloucester, despite not having challenged for the premiership title for a number of years now, have form in this competition. Champions in 2015, they were 10-0 up in last year's final before eventually finishing runners up to Stade Francais. They've also won 25 of their last 26 matches in the Challenge Cup pool stages.

Pau are also former champions, although their success came quite some time ago, all the way back in 2000. More recently, they've found success harder to come by - they're on a 13 match losing streak in the competition.

Here are tonight's teams...

Pau: Buros; Halai, Fumat, Stanley, Pourailly; Slade, Daubagna (capt); Moise, Rey, Adriaanse, Foley, Tutaia, Ramsay, Mowen, Butler. Replacements: Bouchet, Hurou, Hamadache, Metz, Dougall, Lebail, Fajardo, Nicot.

Gloucester: Hudson; Purdy, Twelvetrees, Atkinson, Halaifonua; Williams, Braley; McAllister, Matu'u, Hohneck, Savage (capt), Denton; Polledri, Rowan, Clarke. Replacements: Hanson, Rapava Ruskin, Denman, Ackermann, Ludlow, Vellacott, Burns, Trinder. That's nine changes for Gloucester...

Out come the players! Pau in black and (very) bright green and Gloucester in a very fetching pink. Fair to say they're two rather unusual kits...

George Clancy is ready, and Gloucester get us underway

1' A messy start, the Gloucester fullback almost knocking on taking a high ball, before Pau actually do knock on and it's a Gloucester scrum.

3' Pau win their own lineout, and win a penalty at the resulting maul. They'll have another lineout on Gloucester's 10m line.
