Hello. This is a big game. Obviously. A World Cup place will be decided in a couple of hours and both Northern Ireland and Switzerland want the place. Obviously, Thursday night's referee wanted Switzerland to have that place, meaning that Northern Ireland arrive in Basle with a 1-0 deficit, and a whole heap of anger to shake off.

Let's crack on with the team news, and let's start with the hosts Switzerland.

What a time to make your first international start, eh? Well that's what faces George Saville in Northern Ireland's midfield. Connor Washington is chosen over Magennis and Lafferty up top.

It's been absolutely twatting it down in Basle and the pitch is not looking it's best. There's been an inspection, that it's passed, but if the forecast rain does come then we could be in for a spot of bother. I propose a 50m breaststroke to decide who goes to Russia. That really would be fun.

The teams march out of the tunnel. Everyone in the ground has been handed a small plastic Swiss flag apart from the pocket of green in the tunnel. We will have the anthems and then we will have the football!

1' Switzerland get the game underway!

1' The pitch, particularly an area towards the nearside as we watch on TV, that is basically a bog.

2' A deep cross from Davis is nodded down by Ward but there is nobody there to convert. It's been a very frantic start.

3' Brunt from a mile out has a go and it forces Sommer into an excellent flying stop to divert the ball away from the top corner. Positive start from Northenrn Ireland.

4' The corner is decent but headed away, but only as far as Dallas who hammers a shot that just rises over the bar.
