Good Morning you lovely lot. Thomas Frost up bright and early to bring you coverage of the 1st session of the 2nd test. Joe Root has won the toss and has put the Australians in.

Morning! I've not been to bed yet. Might regret that later.

Thomas Frost

Crikey! Took me a while to get to sleep. Went to bed at 8:20 but I reckon it was well after 10, maybe even 11pm that I finally got off to bed.

One change for England. Craig Overton comes in for Jake Ball. Australia unchanged.

Steve Smith says he would have batted anyway. Root's reasoning is that it's overcast.

Whilst overcast, not a huge amount of grass, rock hard pitch. Understand Root's reasonings but I would have batted first personally.

This is of course a bit of history as it's the first day/night test match in Ashes history. Will the pink ball move for England? Join me in 18 minutes.

Swanny said that Broad mentioned to him when talking to him about debutant Craig Overton: "He's like Chris Tremlett, just not as quick."

If you want an idea what the Ashes can do to you...
