Vasyl Lomachenko vs Guillermo Rigondeaux

Hello everyone. Good evening, or good morning depending on where you are reading. Two double Olympic champions meet for the first time ever in a professional boxing ring at Madison Square Garden and it is going to be glorious. It's Vasyl Lomachenko vs Guillermo Rigondeaux for the WBO super-featherweight world title and all the action will be described live right here by Alistair Sargent

If you're not quite sure what tonight is all about then give our big fight preview a quick read at the following link Long story short, this is the #3 and #4 pound-for-pound boxers in the world, two technical masters, meeting in the ring

I'm absolutely stoked for this tonight. What a fight in prospect. There will be one bout before the main event as featherweight prospect Mick Conlan is due in the ring shortly. His fellow rising featherweight star Shakur Stevenson has won already tonight inside 2 rounds so Ireland's Conlan will be desperate to put on a show.

And across America in Las Vegas there is another packed super-featherweight bill featuring the likes of Stephen Smith, Orlando Salido and an IBF title fight between Tevin Farmer and Kenichi Ogawa and I'll do my best to keep you up to speed with what is going on there as well. What a night for the division!

Michael Conlan back in the ring in Madison Square Garden where he made his professional debut in March as a headliner, accompanied to the ring by a boxing hopeful by the name of Conor McGregor. Six rounds scheduled in this one. Luis Fernando Molina is Conlan's opponent.

Rnd 1: Conlan looking sharp straight off the bell. Snapping in shots to the head and body. Jabbing well from the orthodox stance to establish control. Good right to the body then doubling up the hooks to the ribs. Been clipped a few times by Molina but he is happy enough to ride those punches. Conlan targeting the body to stop Molina from coming forward. Strong Conlan round.

Rnd 2: Conlan dropping his hands and flicking out the jab. Good footwork from the former Olympian and world and Commonwealth games champion. Conlan lands a big left hand who seems to want to invite Molina to throw shots in order to pick his man off. Solid behind the long jab Conlan. Looking relaxed and in control without opening up thus far.

Rnd 3: Molina tries to take it to Conlan, the ref told him in the corner between rounds to show something. Conlan has his hands down and is just digging shots in to Molina's body at will. Molina lunging in to try and get round the jab, which Conlan is now throwing from a southpaw stance. Switches back to orthodox and back again. Speed and accuracy of his shots is too much for Molina.

Three straight forward rounds for Conlan who hurt Molina with a body shot towards the end of the third there. He's yet to really open up but is controlling the fight without really having to get in to anything above first gear.

Rnd 4: Jabbing brilliantly Conlan. Long straight shots in to the gut and chest of Molina, although Molina does land an over the top left hand but Conlan isn't ruffled by it. Jab from Conlan goes in low, credit to Molina who doesn't make a fuss. Conlan strolling here and sticking in swift, accurate counter punches. Molina trying to load up every shot but landing very little.
