Good evening everyone and welcome to BTM coverage of the PDC World Darts Championship semi finals! Both the semis and the final (on Monday - 2018!) will be covered live from the venue, from the grand surroundings of the Alexandra Palace press room itself. @Ugster1 lucky enough to be covering all thee of the matches for you.

One story dominating this championship, of course - can Phil Taylor add another world title to his collection of 16 in his last ever appearance? It’ll be a mild surprise to some that he’s made it to the semi stage, but after beating Gary Anderson last night, he’s given himself a chance for one final hurrah.

Taylor up first, against Jamie Lewis, the surprise package of the tournament. After that, it’ll be Michael van Gerwen v Rob Cross in the other semi, all playing for a spot in the final on Monday evening.

First semi should kick off at 7:45pm or so, so let’s sort out the basics. The semis are the best of 11 sets (first to six), and there’s plenty of cash at stake. Semi losers get £85,000, the runner up gets £170,000 and the winner gets a record £400,000. Kids, get practising now...

Here’s the tournament stats for these two - not much between them:

There is, of course, an ocean between them as regards experience, although this is the sixth world championship for Lewis, and he’s looked pretty cool about everything so far.

Lewis has the throw - not long until the players make their way to the stage and the action starts...

The score at the top of the page will be updated with the set info. We’ll keep the leg score alongside the updates, should make things a bit quicker. Right, I may wander off to find a spot for the walk ons!

Fantastic atmosphere at the Palace, hairs on end for the walk ons. Underway now, first set, first leg...

First Set - Lewis 0:1 Taylor There’s the first break, Taylor punishes some early low scoring from Lewis.
