Sony Open: Final Round

Hello everyone from Waialae Country Club in Honolulu. The final round of the Sony Open is under way and I'm getting a few early looks of the play here already. I'm @doreguymike and I'll be with you till late with all the action.

Rookie Tom Hoge has birdied the 2nd and now has a 2 shot lead over the field.

The early leader board and it's a 2 horse race ongoing with Tom Hoge, from the frozen tundra of North Dakota w a 2 shot lead over General Patton.

It's always a fabulous time in Honolulu folks. Trust me. A breathtaking archipelago of beauty. 2 minutes up the road from the golf course is the world renowned Haunoma bay, where the turtles abound and parking is usually a nightmare. !!

Waialae Country Club has been in existence since 1927, a Seth Rayner design. The course has had lots of renovations through the years to accommodate the development of hotels & condos. The course has now much less beach front than it had heretofore. But tourism is almighty. So hotels rule.

Harman with a nice chance for birdie on the 7th, but no joy. Safe par. Hoge for bird now. Wow. Just slides by on the left side. -17.

Now there's a strike by the technicians bringing us the action so at this stage I'm not sure what I will get here. General Patton also had a birdie attempt at 7 but yanked it. -15 for him after 7 straight pars.

Alan Wilson

What’s the odds on a yank winning Mike?

Mike Barry

Hahaha my old scout. !!! But there's a Scot lurking just 4 back !!

Chris Kirk with a sweet bunker shot on the 8th to about 4 feet. He's +1 for his day and stands at -12.

Come on Russell !!! He's after draining a 30 footer from the left edge of the 8th green and now he's just 3 back. -14.

Kyle Stanley for a bogey on 8. Naa. He drove it in the fairway bunker and hacked his way up to 70 feet. A 3 Jack. Do that in our group and you have the snakes in your bag.
