Good morning everybody, here's a quick 3 setter for you all to enjoy before you settle down to whatever it is you do Mon - Fri. 9-5. Right?

Morning Sue :)

The omens are: Kyrgios is on a streak, he's at home, he appears to be currently unbandaged (he apparently has a bruised testicle after getting whacked with a tennis ball), he's playing on his favourite Hisense court, and he has found a purpose in life. Maybe!

Victor Troicki, a decent, skilled, fit, wily, Serb is introduced to the crowd as "a true journeyman of tennis". Just in case he didn't know he's playing the home favourite. The players are warming up.

Only one previous between these two - Kyrgios winning 6-1, 6-2 in Toronto last year. Kyrgios is seeded 17, Troicki unseeded.

Troicki is serving... A cagey opening game with Kyrgios mixing it up when he gets into the point. He's showing patience too. Troicki survives a 14 point opening game.

Troicki attacking the Kyrgios serve, returning deep and keeping his opponent at the back of the court. Gets to 0-30 before Kyrgios finds his range with the 1st serve. 4 quick points and it's game to Kyrgios. 1-1

Troicki pushing up to the net, and covering it well in the early points, then closes the game out easily with a couple of well placed serves. 1-2

Troicki nets a 2nd serve return and it pains him. To rub it in Kyrgios serves three aces. The final one timed at 215 km/h. HUGE! 2-2

Troicki proves that Kyrgios is not the only one with a decent serve, with a couple of aces one just nicking the tramline, but it's another deuce game. Troicki nets an open court chance to take the game but a great defensive backhand down the line followed by another ace sees him through. 2-3

Kyrgios' serve is enough again, although Troicki could have made it more difficult had he not missed another open court chance from the net. 3-3
