Sublime tennis from both players as Kyrgios displays his full range and Troicki defends magnificently. Trociki earns his 1st break point of the match at 30-40 but a backhand down the line just edges it for Kyrgios. Two big serves later and trouble averted. 1-1

At 15-30 on Troicki's serve Kyrgios does one of these round the post from way out wide shots that everyone loves, two break points. 1st saved but the 2nd is converted as a net cord puts Troicki off balance and he nets a forehand. 2-1 3rd set

At 40-0 Kyrgios shoves a backhand wide but otherwise it's a flawless game from the Australian. 3-1

A couple of aces amongst solid serving sees Troicki catch a breather with an easy win to love. Troicki now leads the ace count 14 to 11.

Ace from Nick, two unreturned 1st serves and it's quickly 40-0. A failed lazy drop shot effort from the baseline gives Troicki hope but an unreturned 2nd serve makes it 4-2.

A close game eventually closed out by a Troicki ace, but Kyrgios looks fairly relaxed and Troicki is maybe resigned to his fate. Kyrgios will serve at 4-3

Troicki looks down as he feebly nets the first point. Two immaculate aces later it's 40-0. Kyrgios is lobbed at the net and goes for the 'tweener, but it's wide. Another ace, #15, seals it. One game needed.

Kyrgios' return is called out but he challenges and wins, a double then compounds Troicki's pain. Kyrgios overdoes a couple of straightforward groundstrokes to even the game but a netted forehand from Troicki gives us our first match point. It's superbly saved by Troicki, finding the lines and finishing with a drop volley at the net. He serves out with another ace. Finish postponed.

A 216 km/h ace, his quickest of the match, is served up but Troicki digs deep, is helped by a net cord and some slack play from Kyrgios and he's suddenly broken back! All square at 5-5 - I didn't see that coming.

Suddenly Kyrgios' rangefinder is malfunctioning, was he mentally across the finishing line a bit too early? Add in Troicki's new found fight and it's suddenly Kyrgios to serve to save the set. 5-6
