Man City

Hello. Manchester City lost last weekend, they probably won't lose this. Newcastle travel to the Etihad in poor form, low on confidence and with a takeover falling apart. They were roundly criticised for there approach in the return fixture, ultra-defensive and deservedly beaten, will the success that Liverpool had attacking City last week make the Geordies have a go?

Here is how Manchester City line up. They've made two changes from the chaos that was the Liverpool game. Delph is out injured, Zinchenko comes in to replace him. David Silva in for Gundogan is the other.

As for Newcastle, well they've made four changes. Gayle missing completely with injury sees Joselu start up front. Manquillo and Hayden also get starts.

Out march the teams at the Etihad, kick off is just moments away!

As those of you that can read will have noticed, Dwight Gayle is not missing completely but is actually on the bench.

Before kick off there will be a minutes applause in memory of the wonderful Cyrille Regis.

1' Newcastle get the game underway!

2' Newcastle get in behind City, Atsu stands up a cross that is well dealt with by a City defender and then a Hayden snap shot is into the ground and Ederson is able to gather as it loops up.

5' The referee, by the way, is a chap called Paul Tierney. I have two things to say about Mr Tierney. 1. I've never heard of him. 2. He has the hairiest arms I have ever seen.

7' City move it nicely following a corner but Silva's cut back is slammed wide by Stones. He was in front of the near post, a difficult chance.
