Hello, hello, hello. @MikeMeehallWood here and ready to bring you one of the showpiece events of the Rugby League year - it's the World Club Challenge. Leeds travel to Melbourne for the chance to become world champions. It should be a belter.

Melbourne are naturally huge favourites, with the bookies giving Leeds a 20 point start. I think that's a bit generous if I'm honest, Leeds aren't that far behind. In truth though, this game is as much about how well Melbourne play. If they play to a decent standard, they'll win and probably quite comfortably. If not, Leeds will be in with a shot.

Leeds have been a little peeved that the two ref system from the NRL will be in effect tonight, rather than the one ref we have in Super League. Brian McDermott is speaking to Darren Lockyer about it and claims that he isn't bothered, but you can tell that he is.

Leeds, remember, were pretty useless last week in stumbling over Hull KR last week. They might learn a lot in how to play as an underdog from the way that Tim Sheens' men spoiled their party at Elland Road. Melbourne haven't played at all this year, so there might be summat in there for Leeds. Maybe.

The teams are out! We're having some national anthems...

0' Leeds kick us off!

1' Early knock on from Melbourne and Leeds are away! Ward picks up and tries an offload, straight to a Storm player - we go back for the original error.

2' Moon throws an inside ball to Singelton and he drops it, looking at the men and not the ball. Can't be having too many errors like that in a game like this.

2' Cameron Smith goes for a 40/20 on the 2nd tackle, but just misses. Leeds will have the scrum.

3' Better from Leeds, who take a few expansive plays before getting the ball into touch 5 from the Melbourne line.
