Another lucky 7 enter the Masterchef kitchen. First up it’s the Market Test. Ten mins to choose ingredients and then an hour and ten to cook one plate of delicious (mostly) food

George from Bristol, who works in IT, is cooking pan roasted pollock with samphire

Kate, from Cornwall, is making an Iranian stew with herbs, kidney beans and venison

Chris, a grandad and lifelong Man City fan, is doing polenta and a variety of veg in a cabbage leaf. Really.

Amy, a teacher, is doing pan fried pollock, ham and samphire

Gaurav, an estate agent, is cooking venison, celeriac purée and a red wine reduction and lots of spices

Mary, from Coventry, is cooking chicken stuffed with ham and garlic and a chicken sauce. Sounds simple but yum

Sarah, from Blackburn, is cooking a white choc and raspberry brownie and raspberry coulis. A pud! Gregg’s excited, naturally
